Suarez races clear of Ronaldo in European Golden Shoe standings


The Uruguay international netted a double in his side's away win to move first in the goalscoring charts again Luis Suarez has returned to the top of the European Golden Shoe standings following his two goals in Liverpool's 5-3 win over Stoke City on Sunday afternoon. The Uruguay international has now netted 22 goals in the Premier League this term - two more than Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo in La Liga, who did not score in his side's 1-0 win over Espanyol. Atletico Madrid star Diego Costa, meanwhile, failed to find the net as well as his side were held to a scoreless draw by Barcelona. Fourth-placed Giuseppe Rossi remains unavailable due to injury, as is the case with Manchester City hitman Sergio Aguero.
